Onana Alan Christopher

Hello! 👋

I'm Alan and I'm a student at the Open Dreams Summer Academy. I'm fascinated by embedded and automatic systems, coding, video games and sleeping (Yeah I do ;-)

Right now I'm learning to build software — HTML, CSS, Git — and this page is not the first thing I have ever built. I'm in a project with three of my schoolmates to complete the school's website.

Out of the academics, As a person, Alan is someone full of energy and has a great love for excellence, and I always try to bring joy to wherever I go and make the people there feel at ease with me. I am very sociable and good at public speaking. I like reaching out to new people – taking initiatives – and make sure I don’t “stay in my corner of the room”.

Where I've studied

• Tsimi Evouna Bilingual Institute
  Secondary school and High School(F3 to USS)— graduating in 2027

• St. Benedict Catholic Bilingual College
  Secondary schoo(F1 and F2)

When I'm not studying

• I'm watching YT or IG videos to get inspiration and motivation,
• I continue learnung Python and upgrading my skills in Arduino PL,
• I play video games, with Fortnite being one of my best,
• I play football with my siblings, and
• I read some books.

What's next for me

I intend to study Mechantronics — at first, I wanted to do ML engineering, but I discovered a new passion for automated systems, and the field of study enabling me to express my ideas freely and pursue this passion was Mechatronics engineering

By the end of this summer, I will have built and shipped a real app of my own. After that? Watch this space.
